The Center for Children's Advocacy, in partnership
with the UCONN Schools of Law, Medicine, and Social Work, has established
two interdisciplinary teams: one located at the Connecticut Children's
Medical Center and one located at the University of Connecticut
Health Center. The Teams bring together a variety of professionals
including attorneys, pediatricians, child and adolescent psychiatrists,
and social workers to utilize a collaborative problem-solving approach
to individual cases as well as systemic issues. This approach not
only enhances representation of individual clients; it provides
a forum for Team members to develop solutions to systemic problems
affecting Connecticut's most vulnerable children.
