The court held that under the Uniform Reciprocal Enforcement of Support Act (URESA), Connecticut General Statutes §46b-180 et seq., a respondent in a paternity action is not entitled to a jury trial under Connecticut General Statutes §46b-164. The court looked to the plain language of §46b-164, which provides for trials in paternity 'prosecution[s] under the provisions of chapter 815y,' not paternity actions under chapter 816, the URESA statute.
